I am so pleased to be aware of M.Q Patton's new book release. Going
through the remarks done about it, I have the feeling this new book
consits in the logical rest of his previous book related to evaluation
field titled "Utilization-Focused Evaluation". This former book has been
shaped upon the same pattern consisting in promoting innovation, change
within evaluated programs, projects and institutions through evaluation
results utilization.
In 'Utilization-focused evaluation',the author presents Results
Utilization as a central goal around which the process of evaluation is
supposed to be run. Results utilization is the element that will introduce
innovation, develop competencies in the evaluation site. And that's why
the author is fighting for.
I got familiar with the realistic, experienced-based examples used by
the author the whole book long in order to strike, persuade and to
support his reasonnings.
Therefore, reading those remarks regarding the new book, I felt it
was just the second part of the one I have already read. Indeed, I advise
everyone to read both of them.
