e-Health 2005 Student Symposium
e-Health: Challenging the Vision
Call for Papers
Are you a graduate student? Are you interested in exploring the complex
relation between health and technology from your particular disciplinary
perspective? Do you have any ideas about what e-Health is, or should be, and
which values, priorities, and methodological approaches should shape the
e-Health research agenda in Canada and globally? If so, the e-Health 2005
Student Symposium is your opportunity to present and discuss your ideas with
fellow students, interested faculty members and conference attendees.
The e-Health 2005: Realizing the Vision conference is pleased to announce
the first eHealth Student Symposium. The event, supported by Canada's Health
Informatics Association (COACH) and the Canadian Institute for Health
Information, is organized by and for students who are conducting research on
the intersection between health and technology.
If you are interested, please submit by March 25th a one-page (300 words
maximum) position paper outlining your idea. Papers can be submitted
electronically to Anita Stern at [log in to unmask] . The best papers will
be selected for presentation at the Student Symposium. Presenters will have
10 minutes to present. Presentations will be grouped by general theme and an
open discussion will follow each group of 3 to 4 presentations. In addition,
students are welcome to submit abstracts for poster presentations. Posters
should present students' research activities and will be displayed for the
duration of the conference, on a rotation basis.
All students whose papers or posters have been accepted will have free
admission to the e-Health conference on the day of their presentation.
Successful authors will be contacted by April 8th. For more information
