2005 national conference on CED and Social Economy: Call for proposals

Please distribute to your networks. Veuillez distribuer parmi vos réseaux.
==== LA VERSION FRANÇAISE SUIT ====

The 2005 National Conference on Community Economic Development and the
Social Economy that will be held in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, May 4-7,
2005, is being organized by the Canadian Community Economic Development
Network (CCEDNet), The Community Economic Development Technical
Assistance Program (CEDTAP), the Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition
and the Community Economic and Social Development Program of Algoma
University College.

The conference title is "Building an Inclusive Movement" and the event
will offer keynote speakers, site visits, workshops, plenary sessions,
networking and social events to the 500 participants that are expected.

This year, the conference is designed to provide even more opportunities
for interactive learning, dialogue and networking. Two types of
sessions are planned: workshops and dialogue sessions.

- The workshops are 2 to 2.5 hours in length, allowing time for
presentations, discussion and active learning by participants.

- The dialogue sessions are 1.5 hours long, and will take the form of
discussion groups structured around the questions, priorities and
challenges faced by participants on a specific topic. These could
address regional issues, sector-specific questions, evaluation
challenges, funding questions, or anything else that is a priority for
participants.

With this call for proposals, we are asking potential participants to
suggest discussion topics, and potential presenters to submit workshop
proposals. What would you like to talk about? What would you like to
learn? What do you have to share?

Your responses will be used to design the final program, which will be
published when registration gets underway in February 2005.

For more information, and to easily submit your suggestions and
proposals via an on-line form, visit CCEDNet's website at:
http://www.ccednet-rcdec.ca/en/pages/workshopform.asp

The deadline for submitting proposals is November 15th.

We look forward to seeing you in Sault Ste Marie!
