The purpose of the event is to mobilize African and Caribbean communities,
organizations and all levels of governments around

The Strategy To Address Issues Related to HIV/AIDS Faced by People in
Ontario from Countries Where HIV Is Endemic

and to discuss how our communities and their organizations can take
ownership of the Strategy.

Keynote speakers:
The Honourable George Smitherman, Minister of Health and Long-term Care
Eunadie Johnson, Executive Director of Women's Health in Women's Hands
Community Health Centre.

In addition, a panel discussion will examine the HIV epidemic affecting
Africa and the Caribbean people in Ontario and the need for coordinated
action by organizations and communities to address HIV/AIDS.

This is a FREE event.

LUNCH will be provided.

CHILDCARE assistance and TTC TOKENS are available to people who need them on
a first-come first-serve basis.
