The Self-Help Resource Centre of Greater Toronto would like to remind you
about Self-Help Awareness Week. Please spread the word about these special
events and workshops.
SELF-HELP AWARENESS WEEK, SEPTEMBER 24-30, 2006
The Ontario Self-Help Network and our 19 affiliates across Ontario are
pleased to sponsor Self-Help Awareness Week (SHAW), September 24-30, 2006.
This year's theme is "Building Connections". To help build connections there
are a number of free events across the province. In the GTA our events
include: a Self-Help Workshop in the Peel Region, a powerful panel of
Self-Help Success Stories, a Francophone Community Event and Facilitation
Workshop. All events FREE but you must registration is required. Visit

AGM WITH GUEST SPEAKER JIM MILLIGAN
On Thursday, September 28 join the staff, Board,members and volunteers of
the Self-Help Resource Centre for our annual general meeting. The business
portion of our meeting is always brief, with food, mingling and guest
speaker Jim Milligan talking about Building Connections: the Quest for

FALL 2006 WORKSHOP SERIES
The Self-Help Resource Centre is offering a series of affordable half-day
workshops this fall. Topics include: Building Partnerships: a Self-Help
Model for Community Involvement; Groups in Transition: moving from
professional leadership to mutual support and Humour and Creativity through
Improvisation. Fee: $15 includes materials and refreshments. To register
