WISE's Scarlet Letter Campaign, funded by Status of Women Canada, involves
our bringing workshops, designed especially for women in poverty, to
communities on Vancouver Island and the southern BC coastal mainland (and
possibly beyond - see below). WISE's workshops will UNITE:

	a) social inclusion;
	b) listening to women in poverty;
	c) demonstrating to women in poverty how they might TAKE THE LEAD in
educating their community about poverty and mobilizing their community to
take ACTION for change; and
	d) connecting women in poverty with others in their community who support
this initiative.

Admission is free to all workshops. Registration is required.

If your group is interested in having a WISE Scarlet Letter Campaign
workshop come to your BC community, please contact WISE immediately, as five
of the six workshops to be scheduled are now confirmed.

WISE has hopes of facilitating a Scarlet Letter Campaign workshop in the
TORONTO area in mid-April and would welcome inquiries from other
communities. However, since our grant covers only six BC events, alternative
funding arrangements would have to be made. Any groups interested in hosting
a WISE Scarlet Letter Campaign workshop in their community should contact Ocean.

The following is the BC schedule of workshops. Details on the Scarlet Letter
Campaign, including contact info for each workshop, is available on the WISE
website.
