Community Approaches to Mental Health Promotion

This event is endorsed by the International Union for Health Promotion and
Education (IUHPE) Conference, June 10–15, 2007 in Vancouver BC Canada

This one-day symposium will bring together international and Canadian
researchers and practitioners to:
• increase collaboration
• facilitate discussion and networking
• advance mental health promotion research, evaluation and practice
• highlight effective community policies, programs and strategies from
around the globe.

Themes:
• Women • Youth • Seniors • Aboriginal people • People with mental illness
• Victims of trauma • Rural/remote villages • National policy

Travel Bursury:

There are a limited number of bursaries available to support people from
less urban areas across Canada to be able to participate in this
symposium. They will reimburse costs when they receive receipts up to a
maximum of $1,500.00 for travel and two night’s accommodation in
Vancouver.
The deadline to receive bursary applications is May 15th. The application
form can be downloaded in Word from the above link.
