Request for Media Development Consulting Services
Deadline: Midnight Monday, July 2, 2007
Toronto Public Health (TPH), in collaboration with The Council for a Tobacco-Free Toronto (CTFT), seeks consulting services to develop effective communication for building representatives regarding the issue of infiltrating second-hand smoke in multi-unit dwellings.
The successful applicant possesses extensive knowledge and experience in communication and marketing; and collecting, reviewing and synthesizing information. You will work with identified representatives to develop and evaluate communication tools to:
directly engage and increase building representatives’ knowledge in a non-threatening manner
communicate the benefits of designating buildings smoke-free
utilize housing industry and trade media as communication vehicles
initiate efforts in developing effective solutions to the problem
The successful applicant will:
identify the most appropriate opportunities, technical requirements and media message placement for effectively communicating with the targeted audience
Create channels for feed-back
Set benchmarks for change that can be measured over time
Developing communication messages
o Adapted for each supporting organization’s format
Analyzing responses and feedback
o Prepare results for TPH and CTFT, that include recommendations
