One in 5 Canadians will experience a mental illness; most begin
in the adolescent years. Almost one third of Ontario students report
high stress levels making it difficult for them to cope with life inside
and outside of school.

The focus of this forum is to share strategies through panel
discussions, workshops, displays, and speakers that will address the
issue of mental health in schools and support Open Minds, Healthy Minds:
Ontario's Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Strategy.

	Keynote Speakers:

	Michael Reist

Michael Reist is a teacher with over 30 years of experience in
the classroom. He is currently head of the English Department at Robert
F. Hall Catholic Secondary School in Caledon East. He is a frequent
speaker to parent groups and education conferences across Canada where
his workshops on learning have drawn large crowds and enthusiastic
responses. Michael is the author of the recently released Raising Boys
In A New Kind Of World.

	April 19th

	Dr. Sharon Pyke

Dr. Pyke holds the position of Superintendent of Education with
