Hi, if you do a global search on the term "social exclusion" you come up
with a number of these. I have not looked for specifically rural, but I
would guess there may be some.
Also try looking directly at <http://www.socialexclusionunit.gov.uk/>
for some government activities in the UK. There seems to be a lot of
research in the UK on this.
