Greetings!

Recently, one of the list subscribers asked about how to search the CLICK4HP
list archives. I am copying in my response, as a guide for any list member
who wishes to search or browse through the list messages in the past 7 years
of our existence.

At the bottom of every message posted to the CLICK4HP list there is a
'footer' message that gives hints on how to both manage your subscription
and where to find the CLICK4HP list archives for searching.  It says:

"To unsubscribe send one line: unsubscribe click4hp to: [log in to unmask] .
To view archives or modify subscription see:
http://listserv.yorku.ca/archives/click4hp.html"

To search the CLICK4HP archives please go to
http://listserv.yorku.ca/archives/click4hp.html
At that location, you are offered several options:
- to Search http://sundial.ccs.yorku.ca/cgi-bin/wa?S1=click4hp
- to Post to the list (requires log-in and password)
http://sundial.ccs.yorku.ca/cgi-bin/wa?P1&L=click4hp
- Join or leave (or change settings)
http://sundial.ccs.yorku.ca/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=click4hp&A=1
- Browse by month - eg for June

If you choose the Search option
  you will get a page that gives you a text box at the top with an example
of a search command below it such as "apple or pear (green apple) or (red
apple)"  which suggests that you should use Boolean terms to narrow your
search.
If you are wondering how the terms are used - check the tips page by
clicking on the left underlined words

Once you have entered your search term you can either add a  Substring
search  adding limitations such as
In messages where:
The subject is or contains: [example pie or cake] and/ or
The author's address is or contains: [example granny] with a limit of
date/time 'since' and 'until'

You could choose to simply use the top text box as well and then click on
Start Search at the bottom.

You can also browse through the list by month, which can be helpful if you
are looking for recent postings. If you click on a particular month, you
will first see results organized by Subject/topic and alphabetically sorted.
you can resort by posting date by clicking on the top left second in icon
(which has a calendar on it), and then sort those postings by 'most recent
first' by clicking on the 5th icon over that has a clock on it with a red
arrow pointing to the left <-.  You can also sort by Author, which can be
helpful if you are looking for one person's postings (top left icon) or by
topic.

The CLICK4HP list facilitators are always willing to help people use the
