An cross-agency multi-sectoral group in Calgary has organized a
community development conference in Calgary Alberta for January 29 and
30, 2004.  This 2 day conference, entitled "Engaging Ourselves in
Building Community Capacity" promises to engage and enlighten CD
pracititioners, volunteers and others who are interested in building CD
practice skills, examining emerging CD issues and creating linkages
between community development practitioners who represent a diversity of
sectors including health, social work, recreation and education.

Registration deadline is January 14, 2004, and early bird registration
is by December 19, 2003.
