This message is a request for those who work in tobacco control. Our
Teaching Health Unit is associated with McMaster University, and I will be
tutoring a medical student for four weeks during July and August. She will
be conducting a portion of a needs assessment related to determining issues,
approaches and strategies appropriate for communities that have high
prevalence of low SES/education smokers.
She will be interested in speaking with both practitioners and researchers
who have experience in this area. In addition, she will be interested in
other community's programs and resources for this population. If you would
be willing to speak with her or could refer her to someone that might be
helpful to her, please contact me.
Ultimately, we hope that this information will be helpful in determining new
strategies for public health in Hamilton.
We appreciate your assistance.
Tracey
