Provincial Coordinator
Community Links 
 
Community Links is an innovative and visionary provincial Association with 177 member organizations; we work on behalf of rural seniors and others, and work to build the capacity of rural volunteers in Nova Scotia. We are currently seeking a Provincial Coordinator. Location of work place is flexible.
 

The Provincial Coordinator is the chief staff person, and is responsible for management functions, staff supervision and support, member services, projects and programs, fundraising, public relations/networking and communications within the goals, objectives, philosophy, and values of Community Links. The Provincial Coordinator is accountable to the Board of Directors, which is responsible to the member organizations and funders.

 

Qualifications:

 

·           Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;

·           Experience working with/respect for volunteers;

·           Ability to form and maintain good working relationships;

·           Experience and training in voluntary sector management;

·           Strong fundraising ability/experience;

·           Knowledge of community development and adult education principles;

·           Knowledge of health promotion and population health;

·           Ability to work independently and collaboratively;

·           Above average organizational skills;

·           Project development experience;

·           Computer skills, e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, publishing, databases, Internet;

·           Knowledge and understanding of seniors and rural Nova Scotia;

·           Valid NS drivers license and access to vehicle; and

·           Flexibility to travel over several days and work variable hours, including weekends and evenings.
