There will be an interruption in Email and Web Services on Friday
August 29th beginning at midnight and finishing at 6:00AM Saturday August
30th. The interruption will allow Computing and Network Services (CNS)
to replace hardware and power distribution on the filer. The outage
schedule will be as follows:
Friday August 29th at midnight, the following services will be
unavailable:
ALL email delivery
Staff email service including WebMail and telnet access
Phoenix cluster
Account request processing
Roaming Access
Student Personal Web Pages
Saturday August 30th at 3:00 AM, the following services will also become
unavailable:
York Central Web
Anonymous FTP
Student Email services including MyMail and telnet access
WebCT
LDAP authentication
LISTSERV mailing lists
Saturday August 30th at 4:00 AM, begin to restore all services with
priority of service restoration to be as follows:
Central Web
Email
All remaining services
We expect most services to be available by 6:00AM, Saturday August 30th.
