Personally, I'm really annoyed that Steve Martin "made it big" - let me
explain.
My wife's brother was a graduate student at FSU in 1973 when we went to
visit him in Tallahassee. He said "you've got to come see this guy, he's
really funny, he used to write for the Smothers brothers". So we all walked
over to the auditorium at the student union and Steve simply destroyed us -
an absolutely amazing performance. I never laughed so much in my life.
Anyway, the reason that I'm sooo annoyed that Steve hit the big time is
because that night was the last time that I could see his act for a dollar.

Tony

P.S. After the show Steve went out in the street and started doing
cartwheels down the center line at 1 AM. He probably doesn't do that any
more either. :-)
