I'd like to respond to the suggestion made by Wes and a few others that
posts about items for sale are appropriate on this forum.  Wes wrote, "I
don't care if Forum members are involved in commercial interests and
let us know about their inventory.... If it's Twain, it's Twain and belongs
here."  But not everything Twain does belong here.

Commercial postings are restricted as stated in Kevin's post for a good
reason.  Imagine what could happen if that policy was ignored or
removed.  In any given week, a search for "Mark Twain" at eBay will turn
up thousands of items for sale there.  Tens of thousands of Twain books
are for sale at Abebooks.com.  Does anyone really want information
about all of those items posted to the Forum?  Commercial posts have
been rare on the Forum because they are restricted. Removing that
restriction would open the floodgates.
