WHO CARES? THE HUMAN DIMENSION OF GLOBAL HEALTH

Highlights:
-Sunday, October 15th is a continuing education day entitled: EXPLORING
GLOBAL HEALTH RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Challenges, Issues and Core Competencies. Topics presented include:
Intercultural Learning, Building Research Partnerships, Globalization
and Health, Effective Mentoring, Results Based Proposals
-Keynote speakers include Lola Dare, Manuel Dayrit, Jeff Reading, and
Danielle Grodin.
- Presentation of the documentary Salud - a new feature documentary by
Academy Award nominee Connie Field -- explores the curious case of Cuba,
a cash-strapped country with what the BBC calls 'one of the world's best
health systems."
