**Perfect for classes and conferences.***

We are writing to offer you free copies of the Centres of Excellence for
Women's Health /Research Bulletin/ (RB). The RB is a publication on
women's health policy research done by the Centres of Excellence in
Women's Health. Part of the Canadian Women's Health Network's mandate is
to widely communicate these research findings to affect change in the
area of women's health at federal, provincial and community levels.

We have a few select back issues available and would be happy to give
your organization 10, 25, 50, 100 or more free copies to distribute to
your members, colleagues and other interested readers. The copies and
shipping by regular mail will be free, as long as supply lasts.

The issues available are:

* *

*Safety First: Women and Health Protection*
Volume 3, Number 2, Spring 2003

Guest edited by the Women and Health Protection working group, this
issue explores the relationships women have had with the pharmaceutical
industry and medical field.

*What Counts and Who's Counted in Women's Health Research*
Volume 2, Number 3, Winter 2003

Several of the contributors in this issue of the RB argue that most of
the health research done today is "gender neutral" and does not consider
that gender plays a role in determining health. A challenge is presented
to health researchers to make sure that what, how and who is counted in
research reflects a comprehensive understanding of the many factors that
influence health and illness.

**What Makes Us Healthy, What Makes Us Sick?* *
Volume 2, Number 2, Fall 2001

This issue highlights work from the Centres of Excellence for Women's
Health on the links between women's health and social and economic
circumstances. Themes include: reducing differences in health status,
building healthy public policy, and strengthening community and personal
action.

**What's Policy Got to Do with It?**
Volume 2, Number 1, Summer 2001

How can women influence health policy? This issue documents women
organizing and pushing for policy change: rural survivors of sexual
abuse seeking better services, Quebec women organizing public
consultations, BC women challenging treatment barriers for substance
using mothers, and much more.
