The Canadian Alliance of Community Health Centre Associations (CACHCA) is 
pleased to announce its national conference “Community Health Centres-The 
Model for Action”, to be held October 11-13th, 2006 at the Saint John 
Trade&Convention Cente in Saint John, NB.  At this conference we will 
share solutions the CHC model has on many primary health care challenges 
such as interdisciplinary teamwork, cost-effectiveness, prevention and 
management of chronic disease, health promotion, and addressing the social 
deteminants of health.   Communiy actions that are taking place in Saint 
John neighbourhoods on issues related to poverty, youth, seniors, and 
violence will be visited.  Keynote speakers will include Dr. Michael 
Rachlis, Sister Elizabeth Davis, Dr.Mary Bell and Sherri Torjman.  For
