Dear friends
I, too, add my thanks - and for the original prompting.
The following life experience confirms the general European finding that
the 'rich' move 'west and up' as cities grow - to minimize their
exposure to atmospheric pollutants (winds in the northern hemisphere
blow predominantly from the west), so I would factor that into the
epidemiological research.
ie take equivalent income populations west and east of the polluting
activities, and go from there.
Our co-creatures (probably?) don't do that, so looking at their
ill-heath east versus west might be helpful? After all, fish are
people, too.
Best and hugs
john
