Life is not stressful if you take away parent expectations, your own
expectations, your children's expectations, and those of society.

Life is not stressful if you hope to accomplish very little.

Life is not stressful if you are blessed with fortunate birth.

Life is not stressful if you are basically unaware regarding how others
live.

Have I eliminated everyone on this list serve so far?

I did a weight control group in my solo rural practice. We met twice a
week. We focused on nutrition, but ended up talking about stressful
situations.

Spending more, eating more, and doing less constructive things (gambling,
cell phones, cable movies or other TV, video games, other escapes), all
tend to make stress even worse over time. Not doing much with the kids at
younger ages comes back to haunt you in more stress age 6 - whenever they
leave.

Chronic stress shapes the mind, brain, receptors, and body in bad ways.

How stress impacts you can be a choice as in the Stockdale paradox:

Retain faith that you will prevail in the end, regardless of the
difficulties
Confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might
be
Do both simultaneously

From Admiral Stockdale, long term prisoner in Viet Nam as reported in Good
to Great by Jim Collins

I suspect human versatility, aided by self attitude and support of others,
is a primary reason why some measures of poverty do not seem to reflect a
consistent linear relationship with other poor outcomes.
