".....This PDF position involves estimating the costs of cancer in two
Canadian provinces, Ontario and British Columbia, using linked health
care administrative databases. The PDF will work closely with analysts
at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES), the Principal
Investigator, and other members of the study team, to identify and cost
health care resources associated with all types of cancer. This study
will be carried out in conjunction with the new National Centre for
Health Economics, Services, Policy, and Ethics in Cancer (HESPE),
co-located at the British Columbia Cancer Agency and Cancer Care Ontario
(CCO).

The position will be of particular interest to individuals with a PhD in
health economics, health services research, or epidemiology with a
strong interest and experience in the use of large administrative
healthcare databases for health economics research. Interest and
experience in costing methods, health services research involving the
use of administrative data, statistical methodology, and cancer care are
highly desirable. The PDF will be expected to play a leading role in
research design, analysis, and interpretation, presentation and
dissemination of the results, including peer-reviewed publications and
additional peer reviewed grants....." cont'd
