Longitudinal Survey of Immigrants to Canada
2003
Two years after they arrived in Canada, prime working-age immigrants had
made significant progress integrating into the labour force, but they still
faced some challenges, according to the second wave of a longitudinal
survey which examines how newcomers adjust over time.
New data from the Longitudinal Survey of Immigrants to Canada (LSIC) show
that 80% of immigrants aged between 25 and 44 worked in at least one job
during their first two years in Canada.
This was a marked improvement from the results of the first wave, which..
