Don't get me started on this one, but it's not just news reports. Media and
organizations love that word 'Most' which is always an interesting concept -
most as defined how? Most of what/which? Last recall the stats say 50% of
cancers can be eliminated by: 20% smoking, 30% diet which leaves a whole
other 50% - there's that issue of stats, again. Eventually there will be
'redemption' since it is forcasted that 1:2 men and 1:3 women will die of
cancer and then it will be too late to be saying - what was I thinking?
Since there are more than 200 different types of cancers and within those
200 many different subtypes it gets a bit complicated. Anyway, I couldn't
stand not to reply even if it's just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak.
Blame the patient - it's just easier and the unknowing public has fallen for
it - until it's their turn, that is. Usual cynical response but rude
awakenings for the many at what is or will be some of the most difficult of
times in people's lives.
