"Disruptive Innovations in Health and Health Care,* an online, open

Changemakers, seeks to identify ways in which the health and health care

want*but are currently out of reach because of cost, complexity, or
because the right idea hasn't come along.

The "Disruptive Innovations" competition invites enterprising thinkers
to recast patients as consumers and propose innovations that put
consumers in an active role. Participants' entries should challenge the
system to meet consumers' interests in managing their health and health
care in ways that are more affordable, accessible, simple and
convenient.
