Race pickup will be available on race morning and also on Thursday through
Sunday (November 25 through 27) at Running Room in Westmount, Quebec

    * Free Race TShirts given to the first 250 registered
    * The race starts at the Monument at the base of Mount Royal at Parc
and Pine Ave.
    * There will be a 1K Kids Run at 10:30 AM with ribbons to all participants
    * Awards for the 5K Run will be given in 5 year age increments as
follows: under 20, 20-24, 25-29, 29-30, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-60, 60+
    * All awards will be given in a ceremony after the race finish
    * Water will be available on the course at the 2.5km mark and at the
finish
    * Post Race Festivities include free food and drink, music, face
painting, and complimentary vision screenings and information by the McGill
University chapter of Unite For Sight
Unite For Sight's Program at Buduburam Refugee Camp, Ghana

Unite For Sight (www.uniteforsight.org) volunteers will arrive at the
refugee camp on December 28, 2004 to distribute eyeglasses, screen for eye
disease and operable cataracts, coordinate treatment at an eye clinic,
implement eye health education programs for children, and implement a
Train-the-Trainer program for teachers in the schools.

At present, there is only one health clinic with a single qualified
physician for the 77,838 residents at the Buduburam Refugee Camp. Because
the population does not have an eye doctor available, Unite For Sight
volunteers will screen the children and adults for treatable eye conditions
and coordinate their care by ophthalmologists at the newly established
Christian Eye Clinic in Tema, Ghana. Unite For Sight will fund all eye care
treatment for the Buduburam children and adults.
