Microsoft has released a new operating system called Windows Vista.  Vista
is known to be incompatible with some University applications.
University I.T. support groups are testing the new version of Windows and
other related technologies including Internet Explorer 7 and Office 2007
with the goal of supporting these.

As Vista is an all-new operating system, University IT groups recommend
waiting 6-12 months after the release of Vista for adequate testing,
support, and working out incompatibilities to be complete. New systems
intended for University use arriving with Vista pre-installed should have
the operating system replaced with Windows XP.
