Hello SDOH list participants

some of you may be interested in our upcoming 'CHNET-Works! Fireside 
Chat' on Community Approaches to Food Insecurity
Thursday, 21 February 2008, 01:00 PM — 02:30 PM (Eastern Time) For more 
information and to register on line: www.chnet-works.ca - we have room 
for about 50 more participants.

CHNET-Works! Fireside Chats are free, pan-Canadian discussion for 
community health professionals via simultaneous telephone and internet 
conference.

This Fireside Chat is the second in a series on poverty and food 
insecurity. It will look at more pieces of the puzzle for this complex 
issue via perspectives from the Canadian Association of Food Banks, the 
Caledon Institute and Canadian Council for Social Development will shed 
light on the depth of poverty, food charity through the decades, public 
policies and community capacities in Canada.
Are there opportunities for effective involvement on the part of the 
community health field? We hope you will join in the discussions!
