From the Texas deck to the pool table to the typewriter on the work table
to the Tiffany wall paper and especially to the Paige typesetter in the
basement with its thousands of moving parts, there is no physical remnant
of Clemens's life that so vividly evokes his personality as the house. It
is a national monument, as is he, and should be so funded.
