CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
An International Conference on Palliative Care will be held in Tianjin,
China June 2-5, 1999. The conference theme is: Designing, Implementing
and Evaluating Model Programmes for Palliative Care in Hospitals and
Communities. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is January 15, 1999.
Abstracts are invited on a number of topics including:
Palliative care in your country - the past, present situation and future
prospects
The design, implementation and evaluation of palliative care model
programmes in hospitals, hospices and community clinics
Educating health professionals for palliative care practice in hospitals
and/or communities (undergraduate, graduate, continuing and distance
education)
Research and practice of palliative care in the community
Problems and strategies of palliative care for families
Pain management issues
The role of traditional Chinese medicine in palliative care
Alternative health settings and alternative approaches to palliative care
