Respecting the Air We Breathe is a national second-hand smoke project
that will produce effective, tested messages targeted to Canadian
parents. These messages will encourage parents not to smoke - and not
to allow others to smoke - in their homes or anywhere children are
present. Respecting the Air We Breathe is funded by the Tobacco
Control Programme, Health Canada.

We will soon be evaluating existing second-hand smoke messages and
delivery mechanisms used across Canada and in the US, based on an
inventory we are creating.

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who knows of information
sources on evaluation tools and best practices for developing
effective messages for target audiences. Also, any information on
effective message delivery mechanisms would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your help!
