*Post-Graduate Diploma Program in Health Economics, Health Care Financing
and Health Policy, PHFI of India*
In collaboration with MEASURE Evaluation, the Public Health Foundation of
India <http://phfi.org/> (PHFI) has developed a monitoring and evaluation
course in their Post Graduate Diploma Program in Health Economics, Health
Care Financing and Health Policy <http://phfi.org/iiph/iiphd.html>, designed
to increase the number of monitoring and evaluation specialists in the Asia
region. Instruction is in English.

MEASURE Evaluation will offer a limited number of fellowships for the
2010-2011 Diploma program. Applicants interested in this fellowship must be
from the USAID-assisted developing countries in the Asia region and be
involved in monitoring and/or evaluation of population, health and nutrition
programs of governmental or non-governmental organizations.

Applications deadline is June 30, 2010.

*MPH Program with M&E Concentration Offered, University of Pretoria
*The School of Health Systems and Public Health at the University of
Pretoria in South Africa is currently accepting applications for the 2011-
2012 Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program.**

MEASURE Evaluation has collaborated with the University of Pretoria to offer
a monitoring and evaluation concentration in their 18-month MPH program to
increase the capacity for monitoring and evaluating population, health and
nutrition programs.

Taught in English, it is geared toward professionals in developing countries
of the Africa region.

Application deadline is July 31, 2010.

Classes begin January 2011.

A limited number of MEASURE Evaluation fellowships are available to
qualified students from USAID-assisted countries.

*M&E of HIV/AIDS Programs Workshop, South Africa, August 2010
*MEASURE Evaluation is pleased to announce an opportunity for training in
monitoring and evaluation for professionals in the Anglophone Africa region.
“*Monitoring and Evaluation of HIV/AIDS Programs*” will take place August 2
- 13, 2010, in Pretoria, South Africa.**

This two-week course is offered in collaboration with the School of Health
Sciences and Public Health and Continuing Education at the University of
Pretoria and will provide intensive training in the fundamental concepts and
tools for monitoring and evaluating HIV/AIDS programs.

The course is designed for national and sub-national level M&E professionals
and their counterparts, assistants and advisors who are involved with the
implementation of HIV/AIDS programs.

A limited number of fellowships are available to citizens of USAID-assisted
countries.

Application deadline is June 11, 2010.

*Network Launched for Spanish Speaking Health Information System
Strengthening Professionals
*The Latin American and Caribbean Network for Health Information Systems
(RELACSIS) was launched by MEASURE Evaluation and PAHO/WHO on April 27-28,
2010 in Lima, Peru, for Spanish-speaking professionals working to strengthen
health information systems (HIS) in the Latin American and Caribbean region.

RELACSIS will facilitate its knowledge exchange via a Web-based network
where users can share and retrieve best practices for strengthening health
information systems.
