the following is the web address for investing in children. http://investinginchildren.on.ca ( http://investinginchildren.on.ca/ )

They ran a fruit and vegetable progam in a test case in the schools and created a grade 2 program book for the teachers to work from. I think their partner was the Ontario farmers, green house growers and ministry of agriculture. Excellent stuff.
Also each of the producers have excellent teaching materials - for example the Milk marketing, egg marketing - all have age specific stuff to pull from.

Subject: [CLICK4HP] information request - nutrition - grocery store
tours - resources

Hello,
I am looking for ideas for a tool-kit and/or resource to provide to
teachers as part of a grocery store tour initiative. (Teachers
participate in a tour hosted by a PHN and/ or dietician and then receive
the resource(s).)
I am in the early, early stages and am interested to know if anyone has
an appropriate kit for post-tour use in the classroom, if so, for what
grades, and do you have any feedback regarding use?. I am thinking of
a resource that can be used to set up a classroom like a grocery store
with a complementary lesson(s). I am focusing on the elementary level.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Delailah
