York's Internet & CA*Net service provider, Orion
(http://www.orion.on.ca - The Ontario Research & Innovation Optical
Network), has scheduled three network outages in order to enable
multicast services on their network.  These outages will impact
access to CA*Net (http://www.canarie.ca/canet4/index.html).  These
outages may also impact Internet access to/from York University.

The outages are scheduled for:

Date:   Tuesday January 20th 2004
Time:   00:01 AM EST
Window: 20 minutes within a 2 hour window

Date:   Wednesday January 21st, 2004
Time:   00:01 AM EST
Window: 20 minutes within a 2 hour window

Date:   Thursday January 22nd, 2004
Time:   00:01 AM EST
Window: possibility of brief outages within a 2 hour window
