There's nothing I like more than getting compliments and praise, but Jim
is right to point out that any success we had in getting the Annual out on
time can be credited to the foundation that John laid as the first editor
and to the efficiency of the Wilely Blackwell organization.

I'm looking forward to the next volume of the Annual and I hope that we'll
have continued success not only with our deadlines but in our new
membership in the Wilely "American Literature" collection.
