CALL FOR PAPERS
AMERICAN LITERATURE ASSOCIATION NATIONAL CONVENTION
SAN FRANCISCO, CA.,  MAY 22-25, 2008

The Mark Twain Circle will offer two sessions at the ALA convention,
centering on the following general topics:

1.  Mark Twain's Use of History--ideas and events from the past that
influenced him.

2.  The International Mark Twain--Twain's involvement in
international events, and/or their impact on him.

Papers must not take longer than 20 minutes to present. The
deadline for receipt of complete manuscripts is Jan. 15, 2008.
