Hi,
I am working with tobacco reducation coordinators in the Vancovuer region on
the development of tobacco/smoking prevention awareness campaigns. There is
interest in reviving the blue ribbon campaign as a symbol of not smoking and
clean air free from tobacco smoke.

I am wondering if anyone is aware of studies/personal experiences with
ribbon campaigns - mostly looking at the effectiveness in raising awareness.
I know that coloured ribbons of all sorts have sprung up recently.....do
they work, or do they run the risk of being discarded by public confusion as
to what colour signifies what issue?

Thanks in advance,

Lu Ripley
