Good Morning, Everyone
Health In Action is an Alberta based website intended to connect population
health practitioners to program and research information, contacts, and
other sites in support of their planning and implementation of initiatives
around the province.
Health In Action has been asked to develop a Business Plan for the next two
years which is intended to lead the project for the next 3-5 years. In
order to do this, we have also been asked to undertake some consultations.
We feel that the best consultation we could undertake would be to ask people
to tell us what population health will look like in 3-5 years, what this
means for the practitioners and what their needs will be. The next step is
to identify strategies for meeting
these needs and then the Health In Action Project Team can develop a plan to
meet these needs.
I am inviting each of you to respond to the following questions. References
to other sources of information is also welcome.
1. What will population health look like in 3-5 years? This includes
structurally and operationally. You are allowed to be hopeful in this exercise.
2. Who will be the leaders of population health in Alberta? This defines
leaders in the broadest possible way.
3. Given the structure and leadership of population health; what will the
needs of population health practitioners be in 3-5 years?
4. How can the needs of practitioners be met in order to support them in
their work?
Thanks for your time on this. The results of this process will appear on
our website in the new year. www.health-in-action.org/
