When: March 3rd and 4th, 2010
Where: 89 Chestnut Conference Centre, Toronto, Ontario
Cost: Registration fee is $85 per day, including taxes.

About the Symposium
Join us once again for the Annual Workplace Health Symposium in partnership
with The Health Communication Unit <http://www.thcu.ca> and the Ontario
Healthy Workplace Coalition <http://www.ohwc.ca> . This year's focus is the
hot topic in workplaces: Mental Health and Stress. Join us for two exciting,
jammed packed days of education, skill building, and information sharing and
networking.

Join us for an exciting day investigating the spectrum of approaches to
mental health and stress in the workplace, from the upstream to downstream.
Topic areas will include workplace mental health, resiliency in the
workplace, best-practices and case examples around stress management and
much more! The upstream approach will explore efforts to actively create a
positive, supportive and healthy organizational culture. The midstream
approach will have panelists sharing their stories and lessons learned in
developing and implementing programs and policies to address stress in the
workplace. The downstream approach will investigate the impact of mental
health on the workplace, legal responsibilities of the workplace, and
training and education requirement, tips and tools and resources to help
workplaces provide the right supports and right culture.

thought provoking day on the impact of mental health in the workplace.
Workplace experts on mental health, safety, culture and wellness will cover
topics such as: healthy workplace success strategies, tools and resources;
nutrition and mental health; stress management; coping strategies and
current legislation in informative and entertaining presentations. Be among
the first in the province to review the new OHWC Handbook and Comprehensive
Workplace Health Strategy for Ontario. Learn about our future directions and
how you can get involved, make a difference and take advantage of OHWC
membership.
