Don't Miss Our Webinar Breast Cancer Surgery and Lymphedema: Are You at Risk?, November 30, 2009

 

The Canadian Breast Cancer Network is hosting a Breast Cancer Surgery & Lymphedema Webinar on Monday, November 30, 3009 at 7:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. 

 

Breast cancer surgery can leave you vulnerable for developing lymphedema up to 30 years after treatment. If you had radiation therapy or had lymph nodes removed, you will want to participate in this informative 1-hour session that will influence your quality of life. One half hour is allotted for questions at the end of the Webinar. 

 

The Webinar will be presented by Judy Bedell, Breast Cancer Action Ottawa's Lymphedema Educator Leader. 

 

Participants will learn:  

*       The facts about lymphedema

*       How to self-monitor

*       Important lifestyle recommendations

*       When / where to go for help

*       Exercises to delay the onset / or manage lymphedema,

*       Where to get a set of Lymphedema Alert Bracelets
