This Fellowship is intended to actively support junior researchers who have
the passion, commitment, and leadership capacity to use research to address
urgent global health challenges. The award will support a postdoctoral
fellow for 12 months of mentored training tailored to an approved health
systems or community health research focus. For 2014, one Canadian fellow
and one Kenyan fellow will be selected.
Fellows are required to participate as mentors in the Great Lakes University
of Kisumu (GLUK) International Research Internship in Kisumu, Kenya (April
25th-May 28th, 2014). The selected Kenyan Fellow will work on-site at GLUK
in Kisumu, Kenya for 12 months. The selected Canadian Fellow will work
on-site at the University of Ottawa, Canada for 11 months and one month
on-site at GLUK for the internship.
