Dear Colleagues,
It’s time to register for American Academy of Health Behavior’s 10th
Annual Scientific Meeting, February 7-10, 2010. Rita DeBate, Lorraine
Wallace, and their program committee have put together a very exciting
meeting, entitled “Implementation Science: Translating Evidence-Based
Health Behavior Research to Practice.” Our meeting will be held at
the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in beautiful Clearwater Beach, Florida,
which is ranked one of the top beaches in the U.S.
Conference information and on-line registration are available at www.aahb.org
. Register by October 26th to save money!
You also may sign up for two optional workshops: “Intervention
Mapping: Developing Theory- and Evidence-Based Programs for Health
Education and Health Promotion” by Dr. Guy Parcel, and “RE-AIM
Evaluation Workshop: The Power of a Population Approach” by Drs. Lisa
Klesges and Karen Coleman. You also may sign up for free Mentoring
Luncheon Seminars on grant-writing (free lunch will be provided for
the first 20 individuals to register).
Remember that the abstract submission deadline is Friday, September
25th. Submit your abstracts on-line at www.aahb.org. We encourage
our early career members to apply for the Judy K. Black Early Career
Research Award when they submit their abstract.
We look forward to seeing you in Clearwater Beach!
Kind regards,
Suzanne Suggs
