Posting the following reference is based on the saying that goes:

"We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our
children."

A resource for those who have to help kids deal with the events in the US
of this past week and possibly the coming months is a book called:

The Scared Child, written by Barbara Brooks and Paula Siegel, Paperback -
150 pages (September 1996) , John Wiley & Sons; ISBN: 0471082848

Both authors were involved with kids after the World Trade Centre bombing
a few years ago. The book gives very practical and straightforward advice
to parents and professionals trying to help children of all ages after any
kind of traumatic event, well worth having on the bookshelf for these
unfortunate times.
