"On the Horizon" is an electronic news capsule from the Horizons Program
(http://www.popcouncil.org/horizons), a global operations research
initiative designed to:

        *       Identify and test strategies to improve HIV/AIDS prevention,
treatment, and care services.
        *       Disseminate research findings and promote their utilization
with the aim of replicating and scaling up successful interventions.

Using Incentives to Encourage HIV/AIDS Programs and Policies in the
Workplace: A Study of Feasibility and Impact in Thailand
Examines the role of incentives in encouraging companies in Thailand to
adopt workplace policies and programs that reduce AIDS-related stigma and
discrimination and respond to the needs of workers for information and
services.

Expanding Workplace HIV Prevention Activities for a Highly Mobile
Population: Construction Workers in Ho Chi Minh City
Compares two workplace HIV prevention programs for construction workers: an
existing workplace program that utilizes primarily social work students to
deliver HIV prevention education, and a new peer education model.
