The Hamilton Telegraph December 18, 1884 reported that the Twain-Cable
tour would be in Hamilton for New Years Eve. The Western Star, the
paper from Lebanon, OH ran the review originally published in the New
York Sun for the November 18th show, on January 1. The Lane County
librarian, who sent me a copy of this review was wondering if they did
this to avoid having to write their own review of the Hamilton show. I
have yet to find any evidence that the Hamilton show did take place.
Just a point of interest.
