What?  Hemingway shouldn't write like a sexist drunk because he's a doctor's

     Speaking of spurious Englishmen . . . just who wrote all of those
novels attributed to Dickens? Clearly not the person we know as Charles
Dickens, with his little formal education, his unspectacular lineage and his
overriding desire to be an actor. Consider the familiarity and intimate
knowledge with legal systems, political bodies and high society. An inside
job, if there ever was one. Examine the use of language in those books.
Carlyle is far stronger candidate.
     And don't even get me started on Hemingway . . .
