I hope you will excuse the intrusion, but after a recent (inadvertently offlist) exchange with Kevin Mac Donnell, I want to see if setting my email preferences on plain text instead of html, as he does,  will eliminate the garbage characters, since his post was notably without them. If it does, it may be the long-sought, if makeshift,  solution to our typo woes.

This is only a test.  If I had anything meaningful to say I'd have said it a long time ago.
