Why this venomous attack on President Bush?

Has the forum become a place for such hate-filled remarks?

I suppose Ms. Coulter is free to see herself as she wishes and we are
just as free to see otherwise. But I think we show our own witch-like
character when we use a discussion about her as a springboard to brand
someone else as a liar, cheat, and thief.

I do know that this verbal burning of the President is popular with
some. And as August tells us in _NO. 44_, "the best of us would rather
be popular than right."

Humbly,

JH
