Tom Sawyer as a gun-toting CIA agent? Curious. I
suspect few Twain scholars are familiar with N. A.
Pavlovich's Russian children's book BOLSHEVIK TOM
(1925), in which Tom Sawyer torments his corpulent
Aunt Polly until he joins the Young Pioneers and mends
his mischievous ways. Up the Revolution!
